Senior Common Room
What is the SCR?
Good question! The Senior Common Room is both a place (a suite in A-entry way) and a group of distinguished people associated with the House: Professors in a myriad of disciplines, tutors, associates, honorary members, visiting fellows, and affiliates, whose academic expertise, teaching experience, and outside interests may be helpful or interesting to students.
What does the SCR do?
Once a month on Fridays, there is a SCR lunch where all students (not just seniors!) are invited. We begin with a reception in the SCR. After the reception, we have lunch in the dining hall at noon.
Can I use the SCR space?
The Senior Common Room is a small room containing comfortable furniture and a small kitchen. It can accommodate approximately 20-30 persons. The SCR will be used only for Kirkland House events and those sponsored by the Masters. It may not be reserved for student group events or meetings.
This is all great, how can I learn more about the SCR?
